DII World has been hand-picked to receive the "Taiwan National Award for Medium Business Entrepreneurs". This award will be given to Dr. Cha, and Dr Chen by President Ma of Taiwan. 
In order to qualify to receive this award, the Dental Implant Institute had to prove itself, and was only able to receive this award because of it's numerous charitable contributions, the many patents that it holds, and because of it's growing financial stability. DII World is the first non-publicly traded company to receive this award.

World renowned implantologist, Dr. Chen, has been invited to speak for the Japanese Society of Oral Implantologists. - September 13th
Dr. Chen has accepted an invitation to speak as a main keynote speaker at the 38th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Chen's reputation as
a master implantologist, and inventor of several techniques and instruments has elevated him to the forefront of the international implant scene, and this is one of many upcoming international events that he will be speaking at this year.

Several Doctors from Taiwan will be leaving their practices, and thier country for a week, and coming to Las Vegas, NV, in order to learn from Dr. Chen. While studying at the Dental Implant Institute, these doctors will be shadowing Dr. Chen while he performs live surgeries, explains his techniques and theory of oral implantology, and unlocks the secrets of how to perform the most sophisticated of cases in the most non-invasive way.Here is the itenerary (click to enlarge).
Dr. Chen lectures to a sold out crowd at the Florida Association of Periodontists in Florida In August.
Dr. Chen was featured as the Head Speaker at the Florida Association of Periodontists Summer meeting on August 8th and 9th. Dr. Chen lectured on his patented "Vertical Translation Technique," a technique for root/implant coverage, as well he shared his cutting edge knowledge of ridge augmentation and implant complication management.
Dr. Chen spoke to a full lecture hall consisting of over 150 Periodontists. This was the largest room and largest number of attendees the Flordia Association has had, and the room was full until the end of the 8 hour day.

Dr. Jennifer Cha Speaks in London
Dr. Jennifer cha recently spoke at the Neoss Link Team Days in London, UK. She spoke on Dr. Chen's five in one procedure and her lecture was met with a warm response. The event took place on Saturday, June 14th at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel.
Dr. Leon Chen Speaks in Miami
Dr. Leon Chen was featured as a guest speaker on June 20th in Miami, Flordia. Dr. Chen spoke on ICM (Implant Complication Managment) and using 5-in-1 in complicated cases. A thank you to implantseminars.com for hosting this great event.
Dr. Chen performs 14 implants for reality TV Show.
On Saturday, May 31st, Dr. Chen performed a surgery for a television reality show. This surgery to place implants on the lower jaw, to match the upper implants that were featured on the "case of the day" for January 30th, 2008.
During this briefing a member of the television crew said that Dr. Chen is 20 years ahead of his time. The surgery took only 16 minutes and 46 seconds. One of the members of the television station said he was going to submit the video to the Guinness book of World Records.

Dr. Chen Donates $220,000 to Disaster Relief in China.
Dr. Chen has donated $220,000 in an effort to help the victims of the viscious earthquake that struck the Sichuan Province in China last week. To date almost 70,000 people have been killed in what is being called the worst Chinese earthquake in decades. Our hearts and wishes go out to the people who live in the towns that were devestated.
Dr. Chen interviewed by 2 news stations in Taiwan.
While lecturing in Taiwan this last April, Dr. Chen was interviewed by two of Taiwan's largest major television networks, TTV, and TVBS. Dr. Chen is a major figure in Taiwan, and has recently been recognized for his role in revolutionizing the face of dental implantology with several television appearances and awards.
Dr. Chen welcomes Mr. Ji to the Dental Implant Institute.
Dr. Chen was proud to have Mr. Fung, Mr. Sun, and Mr. Ji, the head of the Hualian Group in Beijing visit the Dental Implant institute in Las Vegas. Among other things the group was here to tour the grounds, and talk about the opening of the Dental Implant institute in Beijing. Mr. Ji was almost unable to come this week due to Typhoon Neoguri which ripped through Beijing, but decided to brave the flight and come anyway.
Dr. Chen honored during his lecture in Taiwan with a biography.
A book written about Dr. Chen was unveiled this weekend during Dr. Chen's Lecture in Taiwan. This book is a biography detailing Dr. chens life from his childhood in Taiwan to his current day life and his innovations in the world of dental implants.
Dr. Chen recieved the official Selection of the 2007 Model of Taiwan and Oversees Entrepreneurs award.
The 2007 Model of Taiwan and Oversees Entrepreneur award, one of the most distinguished awards given in Taiwan, was given to Dr. Chen. It is normally given to publicly traded companies, however Dr. Chen's practice was financially stable enough to qualify.
This award is given only to the elite of the elite entrepreneurs. Dr. Chen was presented with this award on December 21st, 2007 by the President of Taiwan himself. Dr. Chen is the only dentist in history to receive this award.Dr. Chen nominated his father to also recieve the award in a supporting role. While all of the recipients had the option of sharing the award with someone, Dr. Chen was the only reward recipient who nominated a parent. He feels that without the support of his father, he would not have been able to achieve the success he has, and he is very proud to have Shan-Tau Chen as his father.
In order to recieve this award, Dr. Chen has had to go through three screenning processes over a year and a half.
He was required to meet many different criteria, including solid financial status, charitable contribution and community development, and overall success and growth of his practices.

Doctors from DII World are expanding to Beijing (DII Beijing)
Dr. Chen, Dr. Cha, Dr. Park, Dr. Ho, Dr. Lee, and Dr. Ramo traveled to Beijing, China to visit the building that will soon become the new home of the Dental Implant Institute of Beijing. This 6000 square foot luxury facility, located in the largest upscale retail center in Beijing, will cater to the Chinese elite, and movie stars, and is a combined effort of DII World, and the Beijing Hualian Group.
While in Beijing, the doctors visited the Great Wall of China, among other historic Chinese landmarks.

With the combined efforts of DII World and the Korean Government, Dr. Chen will begin work on a virtual realty dental implant surgery software. This software will focus on Dr. Chen's Hydraulic Sinus Condensing™ technique.The purpose of developing this software is to train a
dentist to perform a surgery just prior to an operation, allowing the surgeon to learn and then perform any surgery instantly.This could set a new standard for
surgeons everywhere, by allowing doctors to perform surgeries that would otherwise have to be sent out to specialists, or other dentists.
